Lead pic from GIS because my pics were crappy
I have no idea why they came but thing thing was beast. Basically, they took a “riced” S197, gave it the interior transplant from an F-16 (really!) and beefed up the 4.6 to something like 600 hp.
I first went with my class of 18 at the end of 2nd block. Then, there were about 50 other people from different classes. These pictures below are from the lunch period at the beginning of 3rd block, with a more modest 3 people That means, less commotion, more loud exhaust sounds :)
So, here’s my crappy pics. The sun was shining bright on my phone, so I couldn’t see that my finger was over the camera. Also, I didn’t even feel like sending then to myself, so I’m taking pictures of pictures. Xzibit would be appropriate here.
There was also a trailer behind the car with some simulations/technology display, but I didn’t go in there.
What I did do was ask a USAF member to crank and rev it, and he did alright.
Ya know sometimes when you touch water that’s so hot, it’s “cold?” This must’ve had a full H/C/E because when I was standing just 5 feet behind it revving at 7,000 RPM, it was so loud that it was “quiet.”
Also my entire body started shaking past about 5,500 RPM, either from:
A: Pure, raw, unfiltered, adrenaline-endorsed excitement
B: That’s just what really loud noises do.
I think it was A.
Also, it looks rather tame for a “military vehicle.” I thought it would be all black and red and tinted tail lights. Don’t get me wrong, it still looks ultra-amazeballs, and the interior surely makes up for it.

I know, but then I would have to deal with the ant-sized keyboard.

Ugh those doors. Such an attention whore of a car.

I saw this at Comic Con in Salt Lake. Not sure why it was there, either.

I remember when the navy would roll by my high school with a tricked out Hummer to recruit. It did look pretty boss.
